Easiest and tastiest vegan appetizer that everyone will love!
I don’t know about you, but personally, I am a five-spice fiend! Anything I can put it on, I will put it on. It is just to delicious and flavorful! I usually use it to liven-up my tofu and tempeh when I’m not sure what flavor profile to go for, but this was my first time using it in combination with sweet ingredients, and it was such a good combo! With the maple syrup and nutty sunflower butter, the five spice really shines!
This recipe is what I would call easy-peasy, just make the glaze, coat the carrots, and pop them in the oven! It’s that easy! Also, I’d seen lots of recipes making tahini and maple glazed carrots, and if tahini is more up your alley then feel free to substitute the sunflower butter for tahini. But, I really like sunflower butter because it is usually thicker and more affordable!
This recipe is:
– easy peasy lemon squeezy
– packed with delicious and complex flavors
– the perfect appetizer or side dish for any and all occasions
– and makes your house smell heavenly!
